Speedy Bracelet

Is it just me, or does it seem to anyone else like the Speedmaster bracelet is an attempt by Omega to save money and scrimp on the quality of the watchband?

I purchased the 2254.50 and couldn't believe how the speedmaster bracelet was designed. Hate the tapering design down to the narrow little 'girly-man' clasp. Beyond that the edges are sharp and seem unfinished.

The Bond bracelet is wide along the entire length, has a heavy duty size clasp and the outer edges are rounded off for a more luxury feel. I managed to snag a used bond bracelet and replaced it. Looks AND feels ten times better.

I suppose now I will have to keep my speedy bracelet because God knows I wouldn't want the model number on the box and cards to mismatch the actual bracelet thats on the watch if I ever want to resell or trade up.

Geez!!
