I have a Bond SMP 2531.80 that has been running about 4-5 seconds fast per day since I got it a year and a half ago. I'd like to take it to a local, reputable jeweler to have it regulated in an attempt to correct this time gain. At the same time, I'd like to have the jeweler polish all of the scratches out of the watch.
My question is, by having a local jeweler service the watch, will I invalidate the remaining 6 months of factory warranty coverage I have with the watch? I'm many years away from needing to send it to Bienne for regular servicing, so I'd like to have this work done locally.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
