I gotta pipe in here, with the referrals you can get from this forum for auth dealer purchases who give discounts, there should be no reason to look at gray market watches.

I got a beautiful SMP in pristine condition from an auth dealer at an even better price than the gray market dealer that I dealt with during my first purchase. (Which the watch ended up having issues that might have required servicing despite the claim from the gray dealer that it was 'new')

Hindsight 20/20 and all that, Derek is 100% right on preferring authorized dealers.
