Re: Movement for SM America's Cup Racing

: I would like to know about the movement for my
: SM Amercia's Cup Racing Chronometer (ref.
: 2569.52.00 as tells the card), in terms of
: jewels, and also if some magnetic field
: protection is implemented.

Jewels are unimportant. They are cheap synthetic rubies used for low friction joints and add no monetary value to the watch. So unless you are a professional watchmaker, any info about the number of jewels will be totally worthless information to you. For more info, see this article here in the Buyer's Guide in the Consumer Zone:
What is and is not important when choosing which NEW watch to buy

Most OMEGA watches with solid backs are shielded for magnetism. But even still it is possible to magnetize them if you expost them to a strng enough field.

: Regarding this,
: what domestic devices should be avoided for
: direct contact with the wristwatch?

Obviously, stay away from strong magnets and electric motors. But also avoid getting close to areas where there is a lot of high power electrical cabling -- such as a utility room in a small to large building.
