Gentlemen,
Firstly let me say I've owned a Seamaster 300m quartz 'Bond' edition for four years and over those four years I've loved it's reliability, it's looks and it's comfort to wear over those years. It's beaten off a Rolex Submariner, Breitling Colt and a Tag 2000 which find their new homes in the drawer.
I do, however, feel that the time has come to upgrade and have been looking at the Seamaster Chronograph models. Now like many people here I have no real need for the Chronograph functions and I'd be the first to admit this, however the fact is I find them more appealing to the eye than a plain dial, and if it makes you happy........
My question however is about the different models of Seamaster Chronograph offered by Omega. We have the older 2599.80.00 model which forms part of the 'Bond' edition (the watch I wish I'd bought seven years ago but have got over it). The 2569.50.00 which is the America's Cup edition Chrono with the regatta timer (very appealing on the eye and while I have no earthly idea how to use a regatta timer it looks nice on the watch face) and then the 2594.50.00 which is the plain black America's Cup chrono and the one I sway toward.
However if any of you own or have done any research into these models then I would appreciate your opinions and thoughts. Tell me what you think, help me make up my mind.
Many thanks,
Pete J
