Hi Pete
I've recently purchased, of course after a search period along which Rolex was rejected, a SM America's Cup Racing model 2569.50.00 (now it comes with 2569.52.00 and with the "America's Cup" legend removed from the dial, and substuted by the water-resist advice "1000ft/300m"). For professional reasons (technical and scientifical research works both in lab and field) I need the chronograph, and I even find useful the regatta countdown timer for certain aspects. From the standpoint of fashion and look, I like fairly big watches, so I found that timepiece quite adequate for me.
I discarded, for example, the model 2594.50.00 for that late reasons: it was cool too, but a little smaller.
Finally, I used to wear for almost nine years a Seiko Flightmaster; although it is very useful with its calculating frame bezel and its dual hands for GMT purposes, I was really upset with the changes of date, hours, etc...so I deicided myself for a watch only with hour and chrono, neither day, nor date or something like that, a watch to take your life somehow different.
Tell me if you have question about.
