Yes, the half links can be removed. (more)

You have to visit your jeweller and let him try removing one first and see if you like the way it wraps around your wrist or not. He may have to put it back and remove the other side instead. I can't say for sure.

I have a very small wrist. I had to remove all those removable links except for one full link and two half links. I couldn't just remove those two half links and use another full link instead too because the watch would not sit right in the middle of my wrist.

My Seamaster is full-size by the way.
