: All are Certified Chronometers with a water
: resistance to 300 meters.
: The Seamaster Chrono Diver 2599.80.00 has been
: around a while and uses a modified
: ETA/Valjoux based cal 7750 movement. Current
: US Retail on it is $2995.
: The Seamaster Regatta Racing Chronograph
: 2569.50.00 is big. It's listed as 44mm, and
: is probably larger from the front. Sorry, I
: don't know the base movement off hand. It
: retails in the US for $4395.
: The Seamaster Professional America's Cup
: Chronograph 2594.50.00 is discontinued. It's
: been replaced by the Seamaster Professional
: "Non-America's Cup" (my nickname)
: Chronograph 2594.52.00. The difference here
: is it no longer has the America's Cup
: affiliation. Instead of saying America's
: Cup on the dial, it says 300m/1000ft . It
: also has caliber 3301 rather than 3303. Cal
: 3303 has a delux finish while 3301 has a
: "standard" finish. It currently
: retails in the US for $3495. Omega Caliber
: 33xx are the new chronograph movements
: developed with F. Piquet. They have Column
: Wheel chronograph operation and Free Sprung
: Balance.
: The 33xx movements have had some problems, but
: I've heard and read the problems have been
: resolved. Let's hope so. Omega is using
: these movments in all of it's lines as their
: new chronograph. DeVille Co-Axial
: Chronograph, Seamaster Pro Chronograph,
: Speedmaster Broad Arrow and The Legend,
: Constellation Double Eagle Co-Axial
: Chronograph being released this year.
: Between the 3 watches you mention, my pick
: would be the Seamaster "Non-America's
: Cup" Chronograph 2594.52.00. Bugs
: aside, it think it's just a higher quality
: movement than the 7750 based movements. I
: also like the design better with the
: tri-compax layout, date at 6:00, and applied
: metal logo and markers, and sword hands.
: I hope this helps,
: Keith
Very interesting, nice comparsion and breakdown of the older and newer models.
I'm in the same mode of shopping as well. I really like the Traditional Bond edition but would hate not have the 3 register if possible. I prefer the older 2599.80.00 and the Blue Color and luv the 7750 based movement and only because I do not know much about the Omega Movements.
I do like the new AC edition but would like something just a little smaller than 44mm more like 40mm W/TRICompax.
Anyother ideas asnd also what one would expect to pay.
Thanks,Mark
