How does AT Look with a Black Calfskin Strap?

I am thinking about purchasing an AT Black Dial Watch but I'm not a big fan of metal bracelets (they look good but I don't like the weight). I was wondering if the AT is too dressy to wear on a black calfskin strap? I've seen lots of photos with the AT on dressier looking brown or black straps. Also, which color dial AT would look best with a black strap?
