A Very Special Anniversary Speedmaster on the 35th

Good Morning! Hmmm... I wonder if anything important ever happened on this day? I better look in an Almanac...

Good Morning and Happy Anniversary!

I thought I'd share some photographs emailed to me by Krekpun Asvanich of Thailand. When you see the pictures you know why I'm excited about hosting these pictures and presenting them here. First Krekpun's letter to me and a followup...

Dear Chuck,

I got my Speedmaster Professional Cronometer, year 1994, Case made from White Gold, limited edition of 500 made, mine is no.3/500, so I would like to submit the picture of this watch for your additional info.

OK! Here we go!

Note: What looks a little like discoloration around the logo is actually the nature of the Sunburst dial...

Check out that _low_ limited edition number! That's as low as I've ever seen except in Ad's!

Best regards,

Krekpun Asvanich

Ok, what a beautiful watch! I can only imagine how stunning this watch must be in person. As mentioned the Sunburst dial is very unique and likely difficult to photograph, and Krekpun has done a very good job in presenting his watch for us.

I don't have to tell anyone this is a very special Speedmasters. One doesn't see such low limited edition numbers very often, Nor are there many White Gold Speedmasters of any stripe. This Speedmaster also uses a very uncommonally seen movement... The c.864 which is the Chronometre rated display back version of the c.863 movement and also is a bit of a premonition of Omega's move to Rhodium plated movements in the late mid-1990's.

An impressive watch and a breathtaking way to start off this Anniversary day for me!

Hopefully Krekpun will swing by the forum and tell us a bit more about his ownership experience.

Thank you Krekpun for permitting me to present your watch for you, host the images for the enjoyment of Omegan's everywhere and everyone else for your interest and attention in reading down this far!

Cheers!

-- Chuck
