: A malfunctioning watch does not indicate it is
: fake. On the contrary, it could be more of
: an indication that he has the real deal in
: this case. The Omega Cal 33xx has had
: serious teathing problems out of the chute.
: Yes, it actually does pay to have a
: manufacturers warranty sometimes. My DeVille
: Co-Axial Chronograph (cal 3313) spent 6
: weeks in Switzerland getting a complete
: overhaul under warranty. I think you can
: expect a $300 - $400 fix.

: BTW - The Broad Arrow has only been available
: since 2001. Brad could not have been waiting
: to purchase it for 10 years.

I myself bought a "genuine Speedy" on Ebay some time ago (If only I knew then what I know now !).
I too had done my research and was sure it was OK, guess what, uh hu, Non working chronos. Exactly the same, depressing the top pusher advances one of the dials, depressing the bottom one advances the other dial. On opening it up, it has a no name, generic, Asian movement. I got no refund - nothing. Ebay were informed, but - nothing.
I thought I was over the rage of being conned, but obviously not as much as I thought - hence the reply about it probably being a "wrong 'un".
In future I will control my responses with sensible, accurate and logical thinking.
Still, might turn out to have been good therapy for me!!
