Yes, it does depend on the brand of watch you are buying. Fortunately, Omega retailers are allowed to give much greater discounts than retailers of Rolex, TAG, etc. That's why there's no good reason to go gray market when buying an Omega since you can do just as well or better buying from authorized dealers.
