HELP!! SMP America's Cup 1999-?

I have the oportunity to purchase a SMP America's Cup, not the new one, but the one with a Black face SS bracelet and Case, and a White gold bezel. My question is, if this model was introduced in late 1999, when, approx. do you think the last of the 9999 of these limited edition watches was made? I have always wanted one of these watches, but couldn't find one, and it figures, after just purchasing a SMP SS bracelet and Case, with Blue face, which I also love, I find this magnificent watch. I will check late this week for all the proper paperwork, but the box is authentic. Just curious, because, I am really tempted to buy this watch. Pro's or Con's would be great, since I just purchased the Blue SMP. They are selling it brand new for approx. 30% less retail. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
