: point: will the prices of new 2535.80 coax
: GMT models affect those of the older
: "Bond" models?
No.
: the market so that the older models are less
: "desirable" and more negotiable?
You've seen way too many car dealer ads promising clearance prices on last year models.
There is no such concept in the luxury watch industry as model years. Nor is there any marking down prices on existing models when new models are added to the line-up. The newer more expensive models don't make the others less desirable -- in fact they can make them MORE desirable as it increases the reputation of value to the whole model line, because the brand is moving further upscale.
: Or, is the coax GMT going to be much more
: expensive than the existing model, meaning
: the two will be in different market segments
Yes. I believe the coax GMT will be in the vicinity of $3295 -- way more than the regular SMP at $1895.
