Actually, I am a keyboard tapper and mouse wrangler. But I do get out enough that I have more skin tan from the sun than I do from my computer monitor. Which explains the sun-related fading of the luminous markers and red tip.
I believe the bezel fading issues do come from excessive salt water exposure -- especially if you fail to always rinse the watch in clean water after sea water exposure.
