Even if it were possible, I woudn't trust such modifications. Using inappropriate or unofficial parts could just as likely ruin the watch as it woudl make it better.
Besides, if that dude was selling his, he must not have been happy with the improvements and was trying to sell it to make it someone else's problem.
In addition, 50 meters is fine for swimming. You'd only need more if you are diving. And if you do dive, you'd be better off spending any money buying a digital dive watch than making questionable modifications to your genuine OMEGA.
