But I have learned to accept it since this is, after all, a mechanical watch. My Bond SMP has consistently gained 4-5 seconds per day since the day I got it, so about once a week I reset it to the atomic clock on the internet. It only takes a few seconds to do this, and gaining half a minute per week is really no big deal anyway. Had accuracy been my top priority in purchasing a new watch, I would've opted for a quartz model. However, I wanted a real working timepiece, so I chose the automatic and have never regretted it.
