Currently I'm trying to decide where to purchase a Seamaster GMT. I want to buy new, from an authorized dealer, complete with all papers and factory warranty.
I have seen a few posts on watch forums mentioning to thoroughly check a watch to make sure it functions properly before leaving the shop with it.
Besides the obvious items such as do the crown functions work and is it properly finished, what do you look for when selecting a specific watch when they have several of the same model in stock? Also, since mechanical watches vary a bit, is there any method of checking the accuracy of the individual watch before purchasing it?
Thank you.
Richard.
