New 300M vs. Pre-Owned 300M vs. Tudor Aquanot

Hello fellow Omega lovers:

I was "bit" by the Omega bug when I was in New York and saw one in a store window. It was like nothing I had ever seen. I have been wanting one for about six months, and am ready to purchase.

What I have seen is that I can get a brand new 300M from an authorized dealer in Quartz for about the same as a used Chronometer. That was hard enough. Then I started to see pictures of the Tudor Aquanot and started falling for that watch, which I could also purchased used. The problem there is that I have never seen it in person.

The watch will be used...to tell time! No deep sea diving requirements. In my profession I think it is nice to have a watch that makes a statement- but I think Rolex is just too flashy. Most of my peers seem to wear TAGs. This watch will be worn almost all of the time- except for the gym where I have a cheap digital. It will be worn on the weekends and with a suit and tie. My hope is to love it so much that resale value is not an issue because I will own it and wear it 10 plus years.

Thoughts, suggestions, reflections on how to choose?

Thanks!
