You are also buying a brand, an image, a look, a statement.
What I happen to like about Omega is that you are wearing a high end watch, but you are also not wearing a Rolex. Hey, I LOVE the Rolex look- if I could afford an Explorer II, well... But I don't think I necessarily like the image behind it.
As for the Quartz vs. Auto- I have been trying to tell myself to look at who I am and how the watch will be used and what is important. The truth is, I love the IDEA of the chrono watch, while the Quartz is probably a much more practical purchase. So what wins- heart or mind? Either way you get an awesome watch!
