My real job is as an IT executive, specializing in technology products development and product management. So that gives me a strong analytical perspective and a heavily experienced business sense.
Have long had an interest in nice watches. It probably originated back with seeing them in the James Bond movies starting in my teen years. Bought my first really nice watch -- a Rolex DateJust -- back in the early 1980s when it 'only' cost $900! Still have it and often wear it -- in fact it is the watch on my wrist today.
The first OMEGA that caught my interest was in 1997 and was the red dial, red strap Schumacher Speedmaster Reduced. But when I got close to buying one, I realized I never used the chronograph features of my Breitling. So I looked at other models and the Seamaster Pro caught my eye. It went home with me.
Most of my advice comes from simply having a clear enough perspective on things. I can understand the business side of the watch industry as well as the consumer side. Throw in a bit of fact collecting and some common sense and presto...
