just saw a speedy classic moonphase with aftermarket leather band selling for U.S.$ 1,700.
what would be the normal selling price for that?
Thanks
: It is my understanding that all of the 18k gold
: is solid including the pushers. Having said
: that, I would point out that in some
: instances the gold is a "solid gold
: cap" but it is not merely "gold
: filled".
: Sadly, Omega no longer offers a two-tone
: Speedy. I love two-tones as evidenced by
: this photo of the four I own.
: The watch on the left is my Speedmaster Classic
: and was only produced from 1990 to 1992. I
: was fortunate to have found this one NIB
: last year. (Note that the gold in its links
: are "caps".)
: Next to the Classic is my latest acquisition, a
: 36mm Aqua Terra. The other two are Seamaster
: 120m's - the predecessors of the AT. (Yes,
: the watch on the right's dial does say
: "Speedmaster" but that was a
: "goof up" in production as
: confirmed by Omega.)
