about 4 - 8 times a month traveling for work...and have had the same experiences....those people don't know anything about watches. It's just a moderatly priced watched they bought or the wife gave them. That's it. Now, when we had the Air Commodore (Royal Airforce general officer) in to visit my boss, they all wore Omega. SeMP Chronos. And were happy to talk about it.
At the Pentagon...the few guys I ran into there had them as status symbols...just wanted an expensive watch....when I told them I water ski with my GMT - the look of horror was almost funny. They said they had G-Shocks for that....so do I, but I don't baby my Omega either.
Anyway...JM2BITS
