I am not sure where the company is based, but they have a USA service center and use superb Japanese watch movements. Invicta has been around for at least several decades -- you can find vintage Invictas in vintage watch shops.

Many of the regulars on TimeZone.com's main forum have gotten them and been pretty happy. There is a highly detailed review of the Invicta Sub at http://www.timezone.com/webbbs/wr_cgibin/wr.cgi?read=287 .
