let's scratch ;-).....
In Response To: They both scratch..>> ()

honestly speaking I would go with the Ti. My girlfriends SS mini Seamaster shows me there is no benefit with SS in the case of Omega !. Yes, SS can reach values of 720 or 740 on the hardness scale, but sorry, I guess Omega is not using it ot the brushed finish takes away the hardness :-(.

I am using 400 to 600 grain wet-sanding paper to maintain my girlfriend's braclet once in a while.

The point is the scratchyness of any Seamaster wasn't a point for me. The looks, the specs and features and the price as well were the prime factors.

I find maintaining my Ti SM a little easier than the SS SM of my g.-f. The sanding paper is a little more tricky to work with than my microlon sponge. You really have to be very carefull were you sand ;-).

Otherwise I feel no real problems with our SMs. I love the Ti chronograph as well, wished I own one. The thick Ti case..........aahhh......

Cheers,
Andreas

PS: There is no watch out there that doesn't scratch, well, maybe a Rado ceramic won't scratch, but they are not exactly my style ;-).
