I'm not sure why the seller is telling you the luminova is weak, unless he doesn't realize that it needs to be periodically recharged by a light source. If he's had the watch sitting in a closet unexposed to any light source, then obviously the luminova would be weak. However, hold the watch under a light bulb for a few seconds and you'll see the difference. This should not be of any concern since luminova doesn't deteriorate over time.
