That is normal for many older mechanical watches. Nothign to worry about.

If the second hand doesn't stop when you pull the crown all the way out, your watch doesnt have the 'hacking' feature that makes that easy. Try putting the watch in time-set mode, then putting subtle backpressure on the crow -- meaning turn it gently in the opposite direction from that which moves the hands forward. That may stop the second hand briefly.
