: I have three other questions in addition to
: those that I posted earlier: Can you tell me
: if the Bond 2531.80 SMP came with a red
: chronometer tag? Mine came with the white
: serial number/model number hang tag only.
Mine came with only the white tag, not a red one, and mine was purchased from an authorized retailer.
: I was wondering if it came with a polishing
: cloth or bezel protector?
It comes with neither.
: Can I order a new International Warranty card
: with the watch serial number on it from
: Omega? Seeing that I bought the watch from
: an unauthorized dealer (it didn't come with
: the warranty card), I would want it for
: historical purposes.
No, unfortunately, since you bought the watch from a "gray market" dealer, Omega will not issue you a new warranty card. Warranty cards are only supplied with the watches when they are sent from the factory to the authorized dealers. Since you didn't buy from an authorized dealer, the only warranty you have is whatever warranty the gray market dealer offered at the time of purchase. The Omega factory will still service your watch, but you will have to pay 100% of the costs.
Also keep in mind that the gray market dealer would probably use his own jeweler for any warranty repairs, NOT an official Omega service center. So, I'd be very careful about sending my watch to an unknown jeweler for any type of repair, since you have no idea what kind of job he'll do. He may end up making things worse, which is one more reason NEVER to buy gray market in the first place.
