They hold the bracelet end piece to the bracelet itself.
Many OMEGA bracelets are used on more than one model or size of watch and have different end pieces to fit each different watch. That's why the bracelet model numbers are often like 1401/825 -- the first number is the bracelt itself, the second number is the end pieces. So a similar watch may take a 1401/827, which is the exact same bracelet, but with different end pieces.
