That's because the link you put there was a link to a WEB PAGE (.htm, .html...), not an IMAGE file (gif, jpg...).

And you DO have a URL that you can post photos to. I see your email is at RR.COM -- that is the RoadRunner high speed Internet ISP. Check RoadRunner's instructions for using your "Personal Home Page Space." They give you 5 meg of space for uploading web pages, photos and whatever else!
