Re: Wonder why it was running slow?

: John,

: Thanks for posting this. I am thinking of
: buying exactly the same watch. It's nice to
: hear of good experiences with customer
: service.

: I'm slightly concerned that they decided to
: replace the whole escapement (were the lever
: and hairspring in that bag? I couldn't
: tell). Still teething problems with the new
: escapement, or a one-off? I have been doing
: some homework before buying, and the
: comments I have found on the 2500 movement
: have been almost completely positive.

: Maybe they just replaced it to be on the safe
: side. The parts are probably cheap compared
: with the technican's time to look at the
: watch (?).

: How has your watch performed since you got it
: back?

Everything you saw in the baggie is what they sent back. I honestly think they replaced those pieces as a precaution, not because there was anything wrong with them per se. After all, they replaced one year old spring bars on the bracelet that were pretty prestine. I think it's just another example of Omega's service going above and beyone.

John
