I have no experience in the UK, so this is a generalized response based on my experiences in living, working, and travelling over approximately one half to two thirds of the surface of the earth.
The overseas shops where I have checked watch prices, once adjusted for exchange rates and everything else (negotiated price, duty free purchase, customs fee on re-entry, etc) the prices have normally worked out to plus or minus US $20 or less.
What you do want to check for when in an overseas shop is for items that are not available at home, because OMEGA (and other watch makers, and makers of just about every other type of product, whether cameras or cars or anything else) seem to vary their product line to a certain extent from one country to the next.
