How tight you screwed down the crown?

On a watch which have screw down crow, how tight should I screwed down the crown? I read from the Chronocentric that one should not tight it in really tight but should only use mild finger force to tight it. What I fear is that I'm tighten the crown too light and the water resistance might be compromised. Obviously everyone have different finger force and hence will tight the crown to different level. What is an appropriate force to tighten the crown?

1) Should I tighten the crown in with all my force until it stop firmly? Or
2) should I just stop when I feel that it is start to tighten (i.e., I get much higher resistant when turning the crown but still can turn it a little bit more if exert more force)? Or
3) turn it a little bit more after you feel that it start to get tight but not too much (with this choice, you can still tighten it more using all of your finger force).

For a reference, I, my gf, and my friend tried to tighten my Seamaster Pro (using the same basis that we tighten it until we feel that it is tighted). The results are that my gf stop about 1/5 turn less than mine and my friend stop 1/5 turn more than I do (I'm the middle ground here). Does this mean that we will get different level of water resistant based on who screw down the crown?

What do you think?
