I've never heard of any research validating or explaining the various health/biological phenomenon that seem to have unusual effects wristwatches. But they keep cropping up.
I've even experienced it within my own family. Back in the mid 1980s, my wife would have mechanical and quartz watches run unusually fast on her. Didn't matter whether it was a Rolex ladies chronometer or an inexpensive quartz Timex. Yet the same watch left on the dresser or worn by her mother would keep correct time. After a few years, the effect went away.
