speedmaster Model: 3623.33.31

I am considering purchasing an omega speedmaster

from a reputed local jeweller for a closeout price of $3850. Do you feel it is a good price considering the retail of $6995 on this watch and the fact that it is no longer in production. Will such watches hold up their value in time to come?
