Speedmaster Warranty

A coworker has offered to sell me his Speedmaster reduced watch that he purchased in July 2004. He doesn't have the receipt any longer, but he does have the small plastic card with the purchase date, serial number and retailer information filled out by the authorized jeweler he bought the watch from.

I was wondering, if I ever need to send the watch to Omega for Warranty work will I need the original receipt (or is the small card all that is needed)?

Also, does this watch come with a one or two year warranty?
