some very urgent help with my seamaster required !

to begin with, i've actually had my ExpII fall off my wrist while driving, so forgive me if you find me getting paranoid further in this post.
when the lady at the store sized my aqua terra bracelet, i did'nt notice it... the different pins all end up at different positions in the holes in the bracelet links. none of them , though, are so off that one end protudes from the edge...but some are flush at one edge, with a space in the other edge ( could go in another mm or so ), while some are "centered", with equal spaces in both edges.( have i described it correctly ?? )
my only concern is safety..... if a pin is in by , say 2 mm, from the edge, are the chances of it falling thru more likely? or is it that the central portion, which has the tube, is the bit that really holds the strap together, and these slight up-downs at the edges really dont mattter?
first omega, loving it, wondering why i ever thought my rolex was the ultimate watch !!
