: Does the packet have to say 'Scotch Brite'
: scouring pads or something?
Yes, they will say 'Scotch Brite' on the label. They come in two forms, a flat scouring pad or a yellow sponge with the pad on one side. Either are fine. But you need the GREEN ones, not the blue.
These are standard items at grocery or hardware stores.
But be careful in using them: use ONLY on the brushed finish portions of the bracelet, use ONLY in the direction of the grain, and stay very straight in your movements.
This works great if you grasp what you are doing and take it slow and cautious. But can royally f-up the bracelet if you get lazy, sloppy or inattentative to details.
