speedmaster won't reset

Hello There,

I have just bought an Omega Speedmaster mark III through ebay. It was not as cheap as it could have been so I was expecting a good quality one. It will not reset its chronograph minute hand to zero. Instead, it resets at 3 minutes to zero! When I wind the date forward the chrono' minute hand moves very gradually with it. Does this mean that the movement is damaged? Is this a serious problem? Can anyone help!? Regards, Kevin.
