after months of just reading your great forum this is my first post. hello to everybody from hamburg, germany :)
yesterday i finally ordered a winder for use with my smp (2531.80.00). as there are several setup options to manage how it rotates the watch, i'd like to ask if you have suggestions for me.
i wear the watch several times a week and while spending some days and nights on the winder it should just keep its current power reserve until i wear it the next time.
first of all, does it make a difference in which direction the winder rotates? as i see it, having it change directions automatically should be perfect to somewhat distribute wear on the watches mechanical parts. do you agree with that?
second, i wonder how much rotations would be appropriate to avoid too much of unnecessary winding. my winder features both battery operation and use of an ac adaptor, but i'd like to put it to a place where there's no power plug available so i'll use batteries. that's the point of my question, i'd like to maximize battery life of course.
thanks in advance!
