I was just at my city's best watch dealer, an authorized Omega dealer, and they said that Omega is, to put it bluntly, a pain in the ass. There's no one they can call to say - someone's looking for such and such. They can only fax in an order, with a specific parts reference number.
You'd better go to an authorized dealer, and be ready to put up with whatever the catalog shows this year. I was just looking for a particular rubber-faced Speedmaster strap, and I seem to recall everything in the catlog was alligator.
(While I'm here - anyone know anything about a rubber-faced Omega band? - not a rubber band, but a traditional leather band with a rubber facing? E-mail me, please - I'm running out of options here. . . . )
