Re: Omega SMP bracelet options
In Response To: Re: Omega SMP bracelet options ()

: adding one half-link, but it was too loose.
: I had a perpetual, circular bruise on the
: back of my hand from the crown,

I simply got used to that with mine. Figured it came with wearing such a heavy watch on my wrist.

: So it must be the 20mm "Speedie" I'm
: after. Incidentally, is it tapered ?

That I don't know. I don't have one of those.

: the price, $400 is not so bad, if it
: makes the watch wearable. Have you got a
: ref. # for this bracelet ?

I believe it is the 1610-930 as seen here:
http://www.ofrei.com/page582.html.
But make absolutely sure this is the 20mm version before you buy.

: Also, you mentioned a 38mm Rail or AT bracelet.
: Wouldn't they be too small for a 41mm Bond ?

Actually, the 38mm AT & Railmaster use the same CASE as the 39.3mm full size SMP. The measured size differences are caused by the size of the backplate or bezel, depending on which side you measure the watch from.

I actually wear my 38mm Railmaster on a bracelet taken from a full-size Bond SMP. It is a perfect fit.
