The usual cause for a mechanical watch suddenly running wildly fast like that is that it has become magnetized.
Makes the metal parts attract/repel each other, causing the balance wheel to move in shorter, faster swings.
You will probably need to take it to a jeweler to be demagnetized.
Where did you leave if those days you weren't wearing it?
