Speedmaster movement

Hello,
The Speedmaster Pro and the Reduced have entirely different movements, the Pro has the cal.1863 manual wind, the Reduced has a cal.3220, self winding.
I haven't tried yet which model fits my wrist best, but I wonder if I should let my choice depend on the respective movements (if not, I may go for the Pro with see through back - although, on the other hand, the Reduced is almost half the price).
Also, can anyone comment about the model with saphire (front) crystal as opposed to the classic hesalite crystal (a friend once told me he called it "quartzfree scratchglass" :-)
Thanks for your thoughts!
