In my case, buying the Bond LE SMP turned out to be a good investment. A dealer I knew had one around Christmas of 2002 and sold it to me at 20% off. At the time the watches were already becoming quite rare, so I sold it on ebay and made a nice little profit. And, of course, mine was 100% genuine since I bought it from an authorized retailer.
If you see one on ebay, ask the seller if they will provide their original receipt (as I did for the person who bought mine). That way you can be sure it is geniune and purchased from an authorized retailer. They can e-mail you a digital picture of the receipt prior to your purchase.
