You should have it serviced every once in a while. Once a year is what is recommended. At the very least you should have the water resistance checked every 12-18 months -- especially if you use the watch in water frequently.

I am not too good about having mine serviced at the recommended intervals. I tend to have mine serviced every 2-3 years. But then I seldom if ever take mine in water.

Not sure, I haven't taken my Seamaster in for its first one yet. When I do, I will probably send it direct to the Omega USA service center. You can call or email the service center for your area and they should be able to tell you what the normal charge is.
