: Is the bracelet of smp bond (2531.80) wider
: than the black (2254.50) ?
I just mesured both of mine to be certain, and both bracelets are the same width AT THEIR WIDEST POINT. The difference is that the Bond bracelet does not taper down (become narrower) as it goes from bezel to clasp. That is, it has a uniform width. The black SMP 2254.50 has a bracelet that becomes noticeably narrower as you move from the bezel to the clasp, and it's clasp is both shorter and narrower than the Bond's clasp.
:Both models look
: great but I can't decide which one to buy.
: And I don't think the model 2054.50 (black
: with bond bracelet) is available in
: Australia.
The 2054.50 model was replaced last year with the 2254.50 model, though some dealers may still have the old 2054.50 model in stock. If you buy your watch from an authorized dealer you could ask him to swap bracelets for you and put the Bond bracelet on the black SMP. If you can't find a dealer willing to do this for you, they can order a Bond bracelet for you from Omega. It may cost about 300-400 US dollars, though (my best guess). Good luck with whatever you decide.
