: After 1 month, my electric blue stainless SMP
: has averaged out +2 sec since I have set it
: on the day I got it. I am reading on this
: forum that many SMP owners experience this
: type of accuracy from the onset and then it
: deteriorates. So far I am very pleased but
: should I worry a few months from now? Is it
: the exception to lose accuracy this quickly?
I wouldn't worry about it. My Bond SMP had been gaining 4-5 seconds a day for the first year and half or so. However, I had only one automatic watch at the time so I slept with it on and wore it 24/7 to keep it wound. Once I started buying more Omegas I bought a watch winder, and now that I take it off and leave it on the winder at night it gains about one second per day. I'm sure my watch didn't like my sleeping position, which caused it to gain time.
