Re: Is there a new seamaster coming ?

: Is there a new seamaster coming to replace
: either the 2531.80 (Bond) or the 2254.50
: (black) ? I'm hoping to buy one early next
: year but would wait for the latest model.

Any new Seamaster models won't likely be announced until the BaselWorld watch fair in April, then probably not available in stores until mid to late in the year.

But OMEGA is unlikely to discontinue either of those watches soon. I doubt any new Seamaster Professional models will be introduced without being based on the OMEGA CoAxial movement, which puts it in a roughly $900 higher price range than the two you mentioned.

So I would not wait unless you are really care about getting a coaxial SMP, are willing to gamble that anything like that will even come out this year, and are willing to pay the extra $900 for such a watch.
