History of my Electric Blue SMP

I fell in love with Seamaster line years ago and decided on the contemporary style of model 2255.80, Electric blue stainless men's size. I was just wondering when this particular model was introduced to the market. I know the James Bond model has been out for a decade or so but cant find any info the the release of the 2255.80. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks.
